A Bit About Me
I am a Mechanical Engineering, Physics, and Honors Liberal Arts major at Seattle Pacific University. To me, physics is an experience and a mission that binds everyone in the world together. Physics describes our shared universe and how it works, and during my time as both a physics student and teacher I discovered that what makes physics unique is that everyone can relate to physics. Every student can use their own firsthand knowledge of moving through our universe to inform their understanding of physics and can use the physics they have learned to explain the phenomena they witness every day. This is why I believe that physics uniquely has the power to unite the world on the principles of collaboration, inspiration, and discovery. My summer research experiences at CERN and Fermilab, and my experience as a physics learning assistant honed my skills as a researcher and physics student, and confirmed why I want to become a particle physicist: to work with scientists around the globe and inspire the world by probing the biggest questions ever asked.
