Role
Designer and Fabricator on teams with other students. Helped design and build manifold. Designed and built supporting stands for wind turbines on site. My predictions were used to analyze results from the hydroelectric generator measurements and find sources of error.
Gained experience in the important field of sustainable engineering technologies. Experimented on a small-scale hydroelectric generator and built a manifold to test the effects of varying nozzle diameters and head heights on the power output of the generator. Also assisted in building wind turbine blades and a support stand for the turbines, and tested their power outputs on Whidbey Island, WA.
