Acoustical investigation into how the process of transferring the acoustic signal of the oscillating electric guitar string across the mechanisms of the unamplified sound, the signal received by the magnetic pickup, and the sound output by the amplifier changes the frequencies of the harmonics and relative amplitudes of these harmonics. Used laser and photodetector to directly measure frequencies in oscillating string.
